The Belgian driver also archived the second round of the FIA European Karting Championship in the Czech Republic on the Trinec circuit.
The second round of the FIA European Karting OK Senior Championship was not easy for Lenn Nijs, who had a highly competitive weekend fighting for top positions.
The weather conditions and the complicated layout of the circuit animated the Kart Republic driver’s free practice before official qualifying ended with the eighth fastest time in Group E.
In the numerous heats as usual, Lenn was busy recovering positions by taking a few risks and finishing with good recoveries, including a twelfth and sixteenth position and a few too many penalties costing some positions at the end of the race.
During Sunday’s Superheat, Lenn was in full recovery for the direct access to the OK Senior final that he would have deserved. Unfortunately a 5sec penalty for front spoiler placement prevented this.
Lenn Nijs will be back on track for the next round of Champions Of The Future at the new Rodby circuit in Denmark in preparation for the penultimate round of the FIA European Karting Championship.
