It was a solid and comeback weekend for Oleksandr Legenkyi, seventh at the end of the race at the Franciacorta circuit.
The Ukrainian driver’s return to the track after the last race was positive and fuelled a season-long progression useful to grow and improve further, especially on such a demanding circuit as that of Franciacorta.
Qualifying in the Mini Gr.3 saw Alex struggling with a not easy clean lap in his own session, which ended in ninth position and P18 overall. The starting position that was useful for making a comeback during the heats also thanks to a race pace that proved good right from the start.
This was confirmed by the three heats in the programme, all of which ended positively, in a comeback and above all without any mistakes. Fourth place in the first heat with six positions recovered, seventh place in the third heat with two positions recovered and finally fifth place in the third heat with four positions recovered.
These results put the Team Driver in fourth place for the start of the pre-final A, a race that did not smile on Legenkyi, who in any case was in eleventh place after a great tussle and tenth on the starting grid for the final.
Another experience and another applaudable race conduct for Alex in the final who was able to exploit his strategy and the key moments of the race to stay out of trouble and recover up to seventh overall with three more positions improved.
A positive weekend that projects Legenkyi with even more confidence to the next round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship on the circuit of Triscina in Sicily from 18 to 21 April.
