Over the weekend just passed in Lithuania, Nikita Ljubimov showed his great competitiveness by winning the first and second finals and finishing second in the Super Final.
It was a very demanding weekend for the Estonian driver, on track for the Rotax Nordice Challenge in the Micromax category where he managed to make the difference also thanks to the work done together with his team.
All in one day and all together with a great level of concentration demonstrated by Nikita, who is now an expert in this type of race weekend. During qualifying, Nikita managed to capitalise on what he had done well in free practice, bringing home a pole position thirller by a mere +0.001sec gap with the best lap in 47.640.
This was an excellent starting position for the heats and especially for the three scheduled finals. In the first final, Nikita battled for victory with his direct rival, closing in P2 which then became P1 due to a penalty given to his opponent. In the second final, the Estonian driver of the Talvar Racing team gave his all from the start to open up a good gap and win again.
In the Super Final, there was still a great fight for the win, which Nikita finished in P2 due to some technical troubles, which however allowed Ljubimov to complete a good weekend.
With these results, Nikita is now leading the Rotax Nordic Challenge standings, which will be important in order to win tickets for the Rotax Grand Finals 2024.
