The last race of the year meant overall victory for Oleksandr Legenkyi, winner of the 2024 Senna Trophy at Sarno.
The last race of this 2024 had a very sweet taste for the Ukrainian driver who, after a lot of work in the Mini category and after starting work in the first junior category (OKN-J), brought home a weekend as an absolute masterpiece.
Weather conditions were not easy at Sarno with the rain as the protagonist, which did not stop the great progression of Alex, always at ease with the kart and immediately competitive. After free practice, he took Pole Position overall in 59.555, a very good lap time indeed.
In the two heats on Saturday, Legenkyi confirmed his excellent race pace, finishing with a P2 in the first heat and a P1 in the last heat, valid results to secure Pole Position for the double race on Sunday.
These were two highly experienced and competitive finals for Alex, who, after managing the start, was able to impose his pace and fly to victory. In Race 1 victory came with over five seconds to spare, victory in Race 2 with more than two seconds. A masterpiece that, of course, also meant victory in the final classification and thus the 2024 Senna Trophy.
Oleksandr would like to thank his entire team Team Driver for this fantastic result, which rounds off a very important season in the best possible way. Thanks also to his mechanics, KR and IAME, his family and of course all the sponsors for their support.
