Luca Bosco completed his first weekend at Zandvoort with a double podium in the Pro-AM category of the GT4 European Series.
Zandvoort was definitely a weekend that Luca Bosco will remember for a long time thanks to a double podium in his third GT4 race weekend. Already at Paul Ricard, Luca had shown that he could fight with the best in the category to get a good placement, on the Dutch circuit he was not long in coming, making himself the absolute protagonist.
With his teammat, the Selleslagh Racing Team driver did his best to put into practice every detail that, as the sessions and race weekends go by, becomes fundamental in his growth path in this category. A weekend built from free practice, useful especially to get in touch with a completely new track and studied on the simulator to be ready for the first approach.
In the usual double qualifying on Saturday, Bosco had set the eleventh fastest lap time overall and fourth in the Pro-AM category in 1.44.191. A good time attack in view of the first race, replicated also in the second qualifying session ended in P9 overall, P5 of Pro-AM.
The big turning point of the weekend then came on Sunday with the demanding two races scheduled on the 4259m Zandvoort, a technical and fast circuit. In the first race, the duo of Selleslagh did not make any mistakes, imposing their own rhythm right from the start, useful to recover positions in their category. Thanks to the sixth place overall and the second place in Pro-AM, Luca Bosco was able to celebrate his first overall podium in the GT4 category in his third career race.
Even in Race 2 there was no lack of excitement thanks to the bagarre even tighter but managed in the best way, especially thanks to the good feeling with his Mercedes AMG GT4. Another thirty-two laps of a high-pressure race, also in this case concluded in come back, this time with the third place of the Pro-AM and yet another top ten in the overall standings. Double place on the podium then for Luca Bosco, arrived at the culmination of the great work done together with the team and his teammate.
Bosco will be back on track in about a month for the appointment with the historical circuit of Spa-Francorchamps (28-31 July).
