The Polish driver completed the second stage of the Champions of The Future in France on the Val D’Argenton circuit.
It was not an easy weekend for Remek, but absolutely instructive and of great importance in view of what will be the second round of the FIA European Karting Championship in a few weeks’ time, right on the French circuit.
Val D’Argenton was an unknown track for many who had to learn it and find the right feeling, just like the AKM Motorsport driver. A lot of work with his staff to find the right set-up and obviously the feeling on an ‘old-fashioned’ circuit with difficult but not impossible overtaking.
After Friday’s qualifying session, Remigiusz started the rich programme of elimination heats, a good six heats in total, all tackled with good speed. Unfortunately a few race episodes and some penalties did not allow Samczyk to achieve any more, despite finishing the last heat in tenth position and recovering. The same goes for Saturday’s Pre-final, which unfortunately did not allow access to the OK Junior final.
A result that in any case lays the foundations for a FIA Karting weekend where data and experience on track will certainly be greater.
