A weekend all on the attack for Oleksandr Legenkyi, who finished in third position in the first round of the WSK Euro Series.

It was a weekend similar to a rollercoaster for the Team Driver who never lost his charge, continuing to fight and recover positions to achieve another excellent result this season.

Friday’s qualifying had initially complicated Alex’s path as he was forced to start from the middle of the grid due to a bizarre timed session where no driver managed to complete a lap before the chequered flag. Therefore, positions were drawn and a forced comeback for the Ukrainian driver.

It was a mission, that of recovering, which Legenkyi took very seriously without ever losing heart. Three heats, all on the attack, where he recovered a total of 36 positions by collecting a P5 (13 positions recovered), P6 (11 positions recovered) and P5 (12 positions recovered), managing to close in P9 overall and P5 for the start of Prefinal A.

The last day of Sunday also saw Alex the absolute protagonist of the Mini Gr.3 category with another good race in the Pre-final, following up the good performance of the heats by finishing in P8. It was a race in control for the Ukrainian driver, who was already focused on the final. In the category final, Alex put it all together by recovering from the start, immediately attacking the podium positions. It was a long head-to-head between him and his rivals, which in the end rewarded him with another six positions gained compared to the start and a splendid third place overall that repays all the efforts made together with the team.

Oleksandr would like to thank Team Driver, IAME and his mechanic for their great work. All his family and of course his sponsors. Next race on the weekend of 19-21 July at Sarno for the Italian ACI Karting Championship.
