With the round at Kristianstad, Remigiusz Samczyk closes his first OKJ European Championship on a positive note.
The first European Championship is never easy for the drivers, who are called upon to learn new tracks and, above all, to compete against all the world’s best rivals. Remigiusz was able to grow race after race, relying on the great work of the entire AKM Motosport staff.
After the preparation race, the Polish kart driver had immediately appreciated the Kristianstad track, which is never easy to interpret and above all very technical. In qualifying, Remek did his best, finishing his session in P10 and in fifth position for Group E. This was an excellent start to the great improvement in qualifying where he had previously had a little more difficulty.
The heats were obviously hard-fought, especially on the Swedish circuit where overtaking is not easy. Apart from two episodes in the race that changed the course of the heats, Remek showed that he had also grown and improved in his handling of the race, closing his last heat positively with P11 overall.
The Pre-Final B was the last act of the 2024 European Championship, unfortunately conditioned by rain and track conditions that did not make things easy for Remigiusz but in any case did not cancel another good progress in his first year in this category.
Remek will be back on track in FIA Karting races in England and on the PFI circuit for the first OKJ World Championship from 12 to 15 September.
Remigiusz would like to thank all the AKM Motorsport staff, his mechanic, Kart Republic, IAME, all his sponsors, his family and especially Natalia for their valuable work and support.
