With the Valencia weekend now concluded, the FIM Junior Gp 2023 season marked by Eagle-1 is in the books.
The first historic year of the Italian team in international competition has recently concluded with a high-level weekend at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia. Alessandro Morosi was at the forefront of the battles for the top positions and consistently improving lap times.
The initial days on the Spanish track were supposed to be for building familiarity with the circuit and the motorcycle, but the weather conditions (wind) prevented the regular conduct of the sessions. Everything was postponed to Saturday, with only one free practice session completed in fifth position for “Morox” before moving on to Q2. Qualification, as always, was highly competitive for the front rows, with Alessandro securing the 11th position not far from the top.
The first race on Sunday morning saw the number #19 starting off on the right foot, staying comfortably within the leading group. There was a lot of action on Valencia’s curves, along with a strong race pace, which proved useful for a comeback to the eighth position at the finish.
A nearly identical script played out in Race 2, where Alessandro managed to make the most of the right opportunities without encountering errors or overly aggressive battles. He finished in the tenth position at the end of the race, achieving a double top-ten result.
It has been a positive and hardworking first season for Max Gazzarata’s team, who has been consistently in the front positions with Alessandro Morosi. The season featured a long journey with seven rounds on the calendar, double races, and significant performance and team growth. Eagle-1 extends its gratitude to its entire staff for their tremendous efforts, Alessandro Morosi for his season, all technical partners, season sponsors, and everyone who believed in the project from the beginning.
